There is a strange tale that is told around the festival of Midwinter. It creeps into other stories, and it soon seems that every hero or villain that ever was has met the spirits of midwinter, and been changed by them.
There are those lucky - or unlucky - folks that the spirits seek out themselves, but I say, if you really want to change your life and profit from the spirits of midwinter then you should seek them out of your own volition.
The First is like a child - dressed in white, and glowing with light. She will visit the towers of Breifine.
The Second is a merry man of generous proportions and spirit. He will bring warmth to the towers of Pennine.
The Last and most terrible is a giant who brings the cold echos of death. He will stalk the towers of Jamtland.
The spirits will begin announcing their presence when the bell tolls midnight. They will fall silent and vanish with the coming of the down. Go now, and claim their visions - if you dare.
Enter or take towers in Breifine, Pennine, and Jamland to search for the spirits. From midnight to three they will make their presence known, but they will vanish to new locations in the morning. Then return to the storyteller outside your capital city.
