Cyllane's Cure

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different 1. Speak to Cyllane. She gives you a note. (This is another quest intended to teach you how to use items in inventory, so drag icon to hot bar, hit "Use" key and the number of the slot.) 2. Note directs you to kill three creatures - botonid leaf, sporite and precocious cniocrag. Kills can be done in any order. 3., 4., 5. Kill the three creatures. Sporite drop "sporite pod", botonid leaf drops "botonid sap", and precocious cniocrag drops "cniocrag eye". 6. Take items to Niara, Priestess of the Grove in Grove of Domnann. The note poofs either her or at step 5. 7. Niara prepares a "Niara's Potion". Take this back to Cyllane. 8. Give Cyllane the potion. She gives "Cyllane's Amulet" and "Cyllane's Cure". Drag and drop both of these on to the hotbar. 9. Directions are to exit the tree by the SW exit, and head W-SW until you reach the prepared circle. A dialog box pops up when you enter the area, requiring you to click a button. 10. Activate the amulet. This summons a "Controlled Writhing Weed", green at lvl10. Although killing it doesnt seem necessary, it does reward about 1,000xp and a few silver for killing it (even if its grey). 11. Activate the cure. You are directed to return to Cyllane with the caution that the summoned mob may be following. It did aggro after a bit. 12. Talk to Cyllane, and gives you a gift. Reward for a lvl 13 Hero was a Leafblade Sword. I guess it may be class specific. Total exp was approx. 65,000 (nearly full bubble for lvl 13) with some silver. I have done this quest with several of my character's, My Valewalker, Enchanter, and Elderitch got magic torso armor, my Mentalist got a magic staff with Mentalism focus. I have attempted to complete it with my Warden but there is a bug where I get the message saying You can't Use this Item, when I try to summon the creature in the Circle of Protection. Rewards: Leafblade Sword -- Blademaster, Hero,and Champion Leaf-Edged Jerkin -- Nightshade Leaf Embroidered Robe -- Eldritch, Mentalist, and Enchanter Leaf-Lined Vest -- Warden and Druid Leafstring Bow -- Ranger Leafsong Jerkin -- Bard Vest of Woven Leaves -- Valewalker Carved Leaf Staff -- Mentalist Leaf Edged Phantom Jerkin -- Vampiir Leaf-Edged Mauler Jerkin -- Mauler lvl 16 received 122,880 experience, and 12 silver. I'm a level 10 Celt Ranger and ole Cyllane won't seem to give me the quest. I've been putting off crafting a new bow counting on the Leafstring. Any ideas why she won't give the quest to me?

Finished tonight for my warder and hero got the vest and the sword.
Cyllane is upstairs in the northwest treehouse with the poisen merchant standing out back.
Kills were easy, the directions to the mobs are dead on, the botonids are the meanest but can be pulled carefully one at a time.
activating the hidden circle takes some time, just head south southwest past i counted three large trees, activate the medallion, the mob spawns, the "cure" fails, easy to take down.
Quick and easy once one finds Cyllane

I'm an animist and received a Leaf Covered Staff. Int 4, Power 3, Body 2%, Verdant focus 10 lvls. I'll send in the screenshot

Location Instructions are good. Just be sure to go in *Exactly* a W-SW direction from the very threshold of the Tree. Stop immediately when you get the Dialog. Move slowly, it is not far from the tree, and the entrance to Tree should still be visible if you look back. You should not have to go around any tree to reach spot. If you hit a tree, go back and try again, tracking a bit to the left or right of true W-SW. I did the quest twice, and the spot appeared a little shifted from true the second time. Note that you may have to try several times to get the 'call' to work, and to get the 'cure' to use.

Very nice armor for a lvl 10 Nightshade, and a fun quest. The botonid leaf was the hardest thing, I couldn't handle it on my own but I suspect better prepared players probably could.
The whole thing with the prepared circle is rather poorly done though, as the info that is given leads you to look for some sort of visual clues, and there's nothing special at all about the circle...it's much too easy to miss with only a popup to tell you when you're already there.

Did this with my Valkyn Hunter. Was one of the easier quests i have done, when I managed to get the note to work. But the rewards was very disappointing to me. I got the Leafblade Sword mentioned above but as a hunter I specced in spear.
Its a really nice sword and I wish I could use it. It looks really cool too. Gilt hilt and green blade. I can equip it but as I have no points into slash I dont see any reason to keep it. Other than decoration. It looks nice on my hip =)

Did this one as a 21 ment in hopes of getting the robe. Instead I wind up with a 10 Mentalism focus staff with int4, power2, and body2%

i had been looking for that circle for about 20 mins before looked here. thanks for the lock Lhars

I played it as a Champ and got a sword that had +2 Blades, and +3 to STR I think, as well as some spirit resistance. The reward is not bad at all, but the directions you get are awful. There are also some high level mobs around 27k,11k that you should avoid. (did it as season 11 champ)

You get a pop up box that tells you when you are in the circle. I completed this quest with my BM Lvl 14) and Druid (lvl 13) but it was bugged for my Champion (Lvl 12) as well...got message that I couldn't use the Cure item. BM got the Leafblade Sword and Druid got a Vest which was better than what she had so as to the value of the quest? Everything is relative...for me, I view exp as exp...will take all I can get and an item better than what I had is worth my time and effort.

Don't do this, it's a major waste of time for a ridiculous reward. And if you were going to ask, there is no stupid prepared circle W-SW of the SW exit of that rotten tree.
It's a total joke the area is at 27k, 11k and there is nothing there to even give you an hint it's actually there.
