DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different The Quest starts in Ardagh with a Merchant named Seana. She had a lucky rock stolen by a Fishing Bear Cub named Scuttle on an Island South of Ardagh. She asks you to kill Scuttle bring back the Stone and Scuttle's Tooth (Note: it has been mention that Scuttle spawns at midnight game time.) She will then ask you later to get an additional item. The Island is East of the Guard tower between Ardagh and Howth. I was unaware of this Island, but it is there. The Island is small so Scuttle is easy to find. He was trailed by another bear cub and was blue to me at 15 (the other cub was green). Kill them and return to Seana in Ardagh. She then asked for a Glowing Worm from the belly of a Roane' Companion. These are some of the worm things near the Siabra Island across from Tir NamBeo. Kill it (there is some faction hit) and return the worm to her. OR Step 4# Bring back a tiny bit of silvered ore from a Sheevra miner'. When I finally found a Sheevra miner (loc 58k, 44k Silver Mts.) I noticed that they are yellow and orange to me at level 13. I don't recommend to go there at level 13 without any company. OR Step #4: Obtain a silvered eye from a Roane Maiden. Reward: |

Have they changed the level req on this or is or there a pre-req? I'm lvl 13 and can't get Seana to talk to me.

Ugh. Sat on this island for an hour now, no Scuttle. Mushed several gray bear cubs, I am lvl 18 Warden. *yawn*

Ok I remember helping someone with this quest months ago and the trouble we had fnding scuttle. Now I have the quest and I had the same difficulty.
He finally appeared, not sure as a pop to killing bears, though I don't think so since I finally gave up doing that.
I came to the conclusion he is a timed pop, and came at 8:00am. He popped in the water on the south side of the island. He briefly appeared on the far south side of the island as he crossed it, going East-West and back.
He stops and growls periodically and on the island this was at 36,178/29,251.
I decided to stick to him and see where he travels. He mainly just goes east-west, but periodically travels up a bit further onto the island. Typically from the southern most tip, NorthEast up the beach.
Time-wise, I found him at 8:00am and followed him till 3:15pm when I finally killed him.
By the way, we seem to swim lower in the water now, and any bears in the water do not have thier name appear unless close to land, so you have to use F8 a lot.
The furthest out from the island he got was 36,667/30283.

I got that quest at lv 14 and died several times, even as lv15 (blademaster), cause Scuttle is surrounded of at least 2 fish bear babys, if he cames to island. Swim from north (west side of shannon), in south u get lot of f.b.babies in water ! Scuttle is often seen in water on east side of island. Pull him out, but take care of the babies that came often at land behind u !

There are Roane companions in the water between the land E of Ardaugh. May also be some on the island.

i haven't sen the punk! i've been sitting on this island for 3 days ingame. i now have 7 stacks of bear meat, 5 stacks of teeth, 4 stacks of skin, and 3 pounds away from encumberance...
yet still no scuttle. i've don i dunno how many laps around this silly island, amd there's nothing but bear cubs, which are all green, plus the occasional blue.
once i saw a bear cub that "was a scout" and provoked him, so he'd run off and tell whatever it was that he was scouting for, hopefuly resulting in it coming to attack me, but after he ran off at full speed (thru the water), i never waw him again. *sigh*
Firbolgs aren't really THAT ugly, are we?
anyway: 16 druid. had quest since 13-14. just started working on it, after finding the correct island. i cautiously circled that evil island with the roanes on it numerous times looking for thig dumb guy.
i wandered around extra careful at sunrise, noon, sunset and midnight, as that's when i've noticed most mobs spawning. but no scuttle yet. and i have been watching the water, too.
hope he comes soon, or i'll have to start talking to my lynx youth, and calling him Wilson, or something...

as mentioned sometimes the baby fisherbears are adding in tons. I found Scuttle (blue to me) surrounded by - I don't know how many bears all green to me.
As a nightshade lvl 16 I had nearly no chance of survival. LUckily someone came by and saved me (thats the way I have to call it).
So I really suggest not going there solo as a weaker solo fighting class. Be prepared to handle at least 3 at once.

When I did this quest I had no problem finding Scuttles island (almost straight south from Ardagh), but as step 4 in the quest I ran into some troubles. “Step 4# Bring back a tiny bit of silvered ore from a Sheevra miner”. When I finally found a Sheevra miner (loc 58k, 44k Silver Mts.) I noticed that they are yellow and orange to me at level 13. I don’t recommend to go there at level 13 without any company.

This quest is very easy to do and you should'nt have too many problems with it.
Scuttle roams the island -and as it is very small you shouldnt have difficulty finding him. If he's not there then I suggest you kill a few bears and wait for him to spawn.
Seana asked me for a silvered eye from a roane maiden rather than a belly from a companion -so perhaps a patch update here.

Actually, the second component is random everytime somebody does it. I think there are about 4 different options.

ok the poeple who have to kill a sheevra miner got screwed cause i got that and had to dogge around tons of purples to get to a sheevra camp and then the sheevras stay close so you can pull just one and then in addition (i think this is a run on sentence) only a few camps have these miners, im looking for a camp that has one. anyone know where they are?

I sat on the rocks there on the island and pulled all the bears i could find and got 2 but killed them. Then I went to the middle and killed all the bears on the island then walked over to the rocks and saw scuttle over there. But I was lvl 15 when I went out to kill him because i would pull 1 and get 2 blues. I did this by my self at lvl 15 thou and took on 5 and didn't die and I am a Druid that is 4 grouping not soloing.

He does spawn on the island its not big so there arnt any real sides, i've only seen him once and thats when i killed him, whenever i walk by the island i check, and one time he was there, just luck, better then wasting time waiting for him.

today i killed Scuttle, brought back tooth and lucky stone to Seana, and she told me to go to Slevinn and ask for glooming powder. So I went tu the towerguard next to connla and spoke to him but he didn't want to say anything about the powder. My journal still tells me to ask Slevin about the powder.. i reconnected the char (lv 15 enchantress) but the quest doesn't work.
So, what is going wrong in here? Please could anybody tell me?

Its a bug in the quests. They just fixed it. I also want t sa that the quest is min level of 13 not 14.

Well it's me again and i soled my prob with stupid Slevin. I wondered about 3 days then tried again to whisper Slevin the words from the quest book: [Seana needs glowing powder]
And it worked. It was my own mistake that it didn't work before... I asked him [Seana needs GLOOMING powder]... so next time I'll open my eyes and speak correctly to any npc...

I got this quest as 13 enchanter. Island listed is correct - due east of tower immediately south of Ardaugh. It has a small rock and a bunch of forage bear cubs. Took a good hour killing cubs for Scuttle to show. Then I am told to get some silver from a Sheevra Miner, not Sabria Miner. Where are those ?

Sheevra Are Siabra just a different Sect of them.

The names changed a while back, sheevra ARE siabra, you can find em in shannon estuary east of howth, near the east zone wall

Is there a particular time or something you have to do to get Scuttle to spawn? I've been there around 30 minutes killing cubs and nothing so far.

Okay, I just killed a roane companion. There was no faction hit and they are still neutral to me.
If this is a bug, I'm not going to complain!

Myself and another have now spent two days there.. scuttle spawned ONCE when another player came, but that player killed it and left.. I believe there may be a bug with this scuttle quest

The beauty of questing in this game is that if you others have the same quest, you can group up. That way, when you kill the mob you're after, everyone in the group who has the quest gets the quest component they need.
I did this with 4 others on the Little Wind quest, and also with ******* Wand quest. Works like a charm, and negates the 'My camp!' arguements that plague other *cough* EQ *cough* games.

Me and a friend did a quest involving killing a bear.. we were suposed to get a pelt fromthe animal.. he got it , i did NOT. We had to kill it again, that time I got the pelt...
Then again.. there is a LOT of things not finnished with Camelot so...

My group killed lot of cubs on the island with the rock we killed the scout then a few more after a short whle maybe 3-5 mins we saw scuttle i think you need to kil maybe all the cubs or soemthing like that before it didint work
