this may seem retarded but what does the 5 trains mean?

Trains means you will need to have at minimum 5 skill points trained in slash to be able to equip the weapon and use it.

I got a bright Blade of Etheric Mist from a Wind Mephit in Salisbury Plains; it was 2% Cold Resist instead of Dark Resist, & had overall bonus of 5% instead of 1%. I had it appraised for nearly 21 silver, & gave it to a guildie.
