Can SO solo

Sorcerers are NOT meant to go one-on-one with a mob,that is what their charm spell line is for,charm a mob,let it draw agro,debuff,then stack some DoTs,then lifedrain.I consistently and easily (as long as I can get pet to keep agro) take on yellows and oranges,and if mob breaks agro and comes at me,most of the time I can quick cast a mem wipe and mob goes back to pet.

Why even make a spell for a sorcerer with 50 skill in Matter? From what I can see by the spell lists there would be no way whatsoever for a sorcerer to spec fully in matter and have even the slightest chance of surviving a solo fight vs. a blue con after say level 8. If any sorcerers have actually tried this please let me know your results.

I agree with you FULLY... However, to answer the question, only way I could see it as a viable character would be a person in a strong friendship guild, and prolly as an alt. If you grouped 100% of the time, and it IS possible to stack the DoTs, would be an extremely viable character. Heck, at L21, doing 74 dam every 4-5 seconds!?! That is INSANE amounts of damage. And 180 damage every 4-5 secs!?! You would make the tanks cry, since you could EASILY outdamage them, and royally cheese off the nukers, since you could keep up with them... AND have almost full mana afterwards.

Course, would give the Healers and taunters a constant headache, even WITH guard on you, unless every tank had you as his stick'd...

I currently have a lvl 50 cleric and yes I am now making a sorcerer and speccing fully in matter. Why you may ask.... Well I am just very bored and needed a good challenge. At lvl 12 I can consistently solo oranges with now downtime by kiting them. I Just cast my DOT then dex debuff and then i leave my camera in place and run. When I see the Mob turn around and run away from me, i cast my DOT again. Usually by now the mob is dead and if not his HP's are so low I just wack him with my staff.
