Classes that can use Shield: Warden, Valkyrie, Thane, Scout, Reaver, Paladin, Mercenary, Hero, Heretic, Champion, Blademaster, Berserker, Armsman, Warrior

Notes:

Common to all realms, the use of a shield is both a defensive and offensive boon.

Training in this skill affects your likelyhood to block, and increases the amount of damage that you can do with the shield styles.

Only fighter (and the scout) classes may train in the shield, though many classes can carry one (and not train).

The Engage ability is also tied to this skill.
