Cool lookin shiny glowies drop from that froggy, this one is the coolest (stats aren't half bad either)

Toad Bane Dropped for me on this day at /loc 12,47. This area is right between the Ellyll's on the hill and the bearded gorger camp.

Toad Bane has the exact same stats as the Shimmering Toad Bane and is a glowie :D

Yes, it's easily the best looking sword in the game imo. The corkscrew white particle effect is stunning.

The trick is that only a certian camp has the toad bane in my belief and some others who have farmed out there. We think that the different camps of toads (which is not obvious. you have to check camp bonuses carefully) have specific toad glowies like toad thumper hammer ect. I found one tonite after farming 5 days for one and its the only thing they dropped for me at all save a small diamond non-glowie dagger. Ill be a pal and tell you which camp it was found at. From stable man go towards undead church. Hit the road there and go up to where King of Barfog Hills roams. Go past him but before you get to the 1st camp of feeders/gorgers and AFTER the circle of ravenclans. Cant promise you it will drop here but im pretty sure and I can tell you thats where I found mine. Keep in mind they are rare and you better REALLY want one if you go looking. Like I said I farmed a week and count myself extremely lucky to get bane 1st drop.

I'm still searching for it myself, but I think the prefix 'shimmering' came with the SC-ing patch, where you could imbue a +35% "bonus" to a player crafted weapon, at an Enchanter (for too much money!)

The system was introduced where 'shimmering' and 'luminous' were directly correlated to the bonus% of a weapon, so that your Jambiya would become a shimmering Bluntbender Jambiya.

I noticed that all weapon drops now come with a prefix (shimmering Backwish, luminous Ancient Ebony Scimitar) like this, so I'd guess that the glowy effect (if it's missing on some models) is just a new addition.

However, you MAY have to get the drop again if your version doesn't have the sword, because my old drops have NOT suddenly gained the new bonuses given to them in the new patch. Not the +% anyway. Some items iof mine HAVE been upgraded since 1.62 (UK), for example the Granite Belt of Enhancement I was wearing suddenly gained an increase in its stats and resists.

This is one the coolest swords in the game minus the light sabre type swords from Caer Sidi. So many people ask me about the sword when I equip it.

there are a few items diamond back toads drop toad bane is non glowing shimmering toad bane is a glowie all useable items dropped from toads are usually rare to find so you just have to be lucky, there is also a glowie ******* sword

Is this new since Patch 1.60 ?? I've got a Toad Bane too, but the Sword has no effect. It droped before patch 1.60. Or is the shimmering 1 in a million.....
