seems to make no difference your level. i had passed this field before and seen the big parth a few times which conned above my level till i was 28. conned yellow then. I also had seen the smaller parth. never thought to conn them. pumice ring was of little value to me (green) so i passed it on to another of lower level. I think the big parth could have been taken down with a group @ level 20-22. i took it down as a druid @ 28 easily.
The empryeans conned green to me and would not respond. (neutral)
only way i got each part was to just simply kill.. ill have to find out how that affects me on other quests.
Going on to go an a siabra hunt now.

DISCLAIMER: Your Steps and Tasks may be different You may or may not receive this quest. Talked to Filidh Morven, one of the wandering people near Mag Mell, he said that I should talk to Eoghan in Ardee. I found Eoghan standing by a tree in Ardee and in talking to him I found out that he is working on a spell and needed my help collecting components for it. [Step #1] Is to get a Shaft of wheat from Satefe, the named parth, within the Parthanan farm. [Step #2] is to get a red candle from a Empyrean Watcher in the hills SE of Caille. [Step #3] is to get a Bowl of morning dew from a Dew Sheerie located near the tower that's on the road to Caille. [Step #4] is to get a Sprig of vervain from a Gale in the Cliffs of Moher. Upon getting all these things and returning to Eoghan he finishes his spell and gives you a Pumice Ring. Reward: |

I was trying to do this quest and kept getting the big parthenon (purple) so I left it ... until level 22 .. at 22, I got a field full of parthenons that were mainly blue with one yellow. I killed the ones closest to Satefe then pulled him and killed him pretty easily. He was yellow but died okay. I'm a mentalist and my mez spells didn't work on him though -- although they did on the other parthenons.

The named mob is at the farm. He just will not come out while that big mob is in center of field. Once the big guy is killed, all the other mobs will spawn with the named one being one of them.

There is no named Parth at the Parth Farm... only this big purple guy in the center of the field.. i mean .. he is named but not Satefe. My Eldie is 20, soon 21 with FL, but it is very purple. Can't get any further.

I did the quest last night. I'm a lvl 23 Enchantress. Didn't have too many problems. The instructions were a bit confusing. Took about 2hrs or so. Had to have some help in the beginning as I went the wrong way and got into some high lvl stuff. Worth it though. Got all the items. Got super xp, over 1.3mil and the ring.

I just did this quest and found it remarkably easy. I'm a level 20 enchantress. I got it done quite quick and only had one problem, which was in Caille, with the empyrean watcher... and you have to make sure the one in the tower doesn't see you fighting his friend. Exp was NOT great at all, neither was the money: 11 silver. But the pumice ring isn't too bad.

I went and did this quest today, lvl 28 Blademaster, got all the components and gave them to Eoghan but didn't get the ring. I did receive around 500k exp but no ring for my trouble. Also my quest log says to give him the Sprig of vervain but I've already done that. I went back and killed another Gale but didn't get a new Sprig of vervain. Any ideas?
Sounds like you got yourself bugged by accident somehow. Only thing left to do is to /appeal to have that step fixed for you, i.e. either get a sprig from a guide, or let the guide give you the ring and set the quest as complete. I had the same thing happen to me when I did Tavie's Drum quest. Dunno how it happened.

I and 2 friends made the Quest after the 1.45 patch and we all got Quickness +5 and heat +6

Wheres Filidh Morven? Anyone knows what direction from MagMell? Towards TNN, Ardee, lake, etc...?

The Filidhs are NPCs who tell you where to find quests. So Filidh Morven didn't GIVE the quest, Eoghan did... the Starting NPC should be Eoghan instead. If you have the right level, just go to Ardee and talk to Eoghan straight. You should get the quest.

I got this quest at Lv24 on my Blademaster. So far it was the fastest and easiest quest i've done. In around 10mins.
Firstly I got the wheat from Satefe who spawns in the farm in East Lough Derg, behind Mag Mall.
Getting the candle was odd, I expected the watcher to give it to me, but nothing happened so I killed him. He conned green, I then got the candle. Dew sheeries spawn around the forests just behind the farm, and they conned blue/green again. The gales spawn near the guard tower just past the North enterance to tir na nog, so it was np's there.
The xp rewards were very nice at 24. I managed to get half a bubble of xp, and the ring + some coin. Great quest :)

Weird, i am a lvl 19 Blademaster and received the Quest. There doesn't seem to be a pre-requisite. I never did the annoying animal skins quest.

You may need to complete another quest in order to get this quest. I know that I had to do the annoying animal skins quest in order to get the Hauberk quest. Maybe this one has a quest prerequisite too.

I did the Hauberk quest before I got the "annoying animal skins" ( Alastriona's Chest) quest so those aren't prerequisites to each other.

Started the quest today. Talked with Eoghad right off the bat and got the quest at level 21. Everything sounds the same, except a gale is now the last addition to the component kill list. Gales are out the bindstone gate of TNN, follow the trail to your left and stay left on the trail after the tower. They are everywhere :)

In the town of Caille there is an Empyrean Watcher to kill for the candle. You will have to kill it. It won't change your faction with only kiilling it once. Not a big deal just 1.
I did this quest. It's easy and the now added quickness makes a difference. The only problem really have a result of the ring, I can't run up stairs anymore, I have to jump because I move to fast. Such problems eh?

is empyrean faction fixable if I damage it too badly? (I MAY have "accidentally" killed an empyrean before, just to see what would happen =)) I'd love this ring, but REALLY don't wanna have empyreans KOS to me.

I wouldn't worry about that. If you've killed a lot of Siabrians in your time (and I was lucky enough to have killed hundreds), Empyreans will be friendly, even if you kill a few of them. Same thing with curmudgeons, which can be useful if you're fighting sheeries as they act as guards for you.

I iced some Siabra Enchanters on the island across the pond from Tir Na Mbeo and my faction raised with Crum's and Empys

I believe to raise your standin with empryeans, u gotta kill siabras, i know when i killed siabra distorters, it practicallys raised it everytime.
Does anyone know what I can fight to raise faction with the Empyreans? I hope its possible because as is ive already ruined my faction with roane and thier sorts which has made things very difficult and some quests near impossible to accomplish...
I have this quest but am very glad I didnt do it because part of my epic was to speak to a named Emp in Moon Lake which would of been impossible had I killed another.

I'm doing this from memory right now, but if i'm correct. You can kill Durgan Fury fellas (spelling?). This increases faction for Curms, Empryean, and Siabras, but lowers something else (I don't recall what it was..prolly durgan or something).

Quest NPCs seem to be slightly less affected by faction than others. One of my quests as a mentalist required talking to Wug, a named lucradan. Since I've been KoS to lucradans almost since the day I got the game I wasn't sure I'd be able to complete the quest, but Wug only conned hostile (not very friendly but not KoS) and still responded to me for the quest.
