Hey all. Just want to coment on this fine staff. I have one as well, been trying to sell it for awhile... Heck, i just gave away the Old Sledge I was trying to sell (been using it for 4 levels). I'm a lvl 12 armsman, and this item cons yellow to me.

Anyway, as it is, items are hard enough to sell in camelot. Ah well. If your on the Guinevere server, give Teggeter a /send if you want it.

well ive had 3 of the from grove nymphs so not that rare, or was i lucky.

I also got a neckless which gave wind magic +1 and inteligence +1, got kicked of the server and went to my last save so it was lost, but i no it made my spicific skills 1 lvl higher.

This Staff dropped for me in Sal Plains by grove nymphs. It cons yellow to me at lvl 16 Friar. Not using it however because I have the slightly better (for Friars) Sioms staff. Maybe I'll just give it to a sorcerer.

This is a Focus item. You can purchase items like this from merchants usually standing next to Caster Trainers (Wiz, Theurg, etc.)

They don't add the specified values to your spell levels. What the stats imply is if you cast a spell of equal or lower level you will use less power. The give away is the word "levels" after the number value as compared with the word "pts" following the number 3 with regards to Int. Pts add directly to the value.

Now, there are items in this game that raise your spell levels. Check: Band of Earth http://camelot.allakhazam.com/item.html?citem=952 The area called Magical Bonus’s reads: Path of Earth +1pts. This implies that the users spell level with regards to Earth is now one higher, thus Raising your spell level by One. This however does not give you access to new spells that you would get at a higher level. This allows you to cast existing spells as if you were a higher level caster. This means less chance of resists, Hitting for more damage since damage is bases on level vs level and the ability to cast on higher level Mobs based of course on how many levels the item bestows upon you when you are wearing it.

This is not a fake item. I am using one. A friend of mine got it off a grove nymph in the Salisbury Plains and was kind enough to pass it off to me. As with the cabalist staffs you can purchase from merchants, the +'s are not to overall skill. I was unsure of what the +'s were doing, but (as stated in other posts) it is probably "aiding in casting the spells." Maybe spells of the skills in questions are less expensive to cast.

Anyway, it's a nice item, but apparently it's a very rare drop. I've killed numerous (many, many!) nymphs and haven't seen another.

Staff is usable by both Sorcerer and Cabalist.

It is a random drop in sailbury, I've heard of people getting it from brownies and flidhs.

NOTE TO SORCERERS: be wary of this staff, its not that great for you, because it has no Mind Twisting/Domination focus, meaning you will be casting those spells for 120 mana cost! That actually is not that bad at those lvls (I've used it cause I didn't realize it then), but something to note.

You ened to remember that you're looking at levels versus points.

It's a focus item. Meaning that it aids a caster in casting with those skills, not raises those skills.
