LOL, no wonder! It will drop only once, and you have to be lvl 30 at least.
Also, the serrated lion fang cons orange to a lvl 30.

The drops from these level 30 mobs are awesome, as long as you use slash and/or thrust weapons.
The Black Lion drops the Serrated Lion Fang, a slasher which has 10+dps and like 2.5 or so speed. +2 Slash, +2 Dual Wield and +5 Strength, what Mercenary or Infiltrator WOULDN'T want one??
The Black Lioness drops the Long Lion Fang, a thruster with the same dps, and slightly faster speed (like 2.3 or 2.4), with a +2 to Thrust and a +2 to Parry and a +5 to Dexterity.
This is a much sought after weapon by melee types of level 30+, because most other weapons tend to get a little greenish up there, and the fangs con yellow to 30. They don't drop often....a friend of mine went halfway from 29 to 30, just killing lions, trying for a fang.
So there you go, a little more info on two awesome drops from two very nasty mobs.

I saw 2 of these in the NE part of C forest between the ebony fellwoods and the higher lev fellwoods further east. Steep hills here so they can easily just suddenly be there!

They are also known to drop a Serrated Lion Fang (slash weapon).

I saw one of these on the road! Fortunatly I was on horseback so it didn't agro!
